Emerge Online School is a therapeutically informed online provision offering high-quality education for children and young people aged 8 to 18. We re-engage learners who have struggled to access mainstream education by providing a safe, flexible learning environment that can be accessed from home. The ultimate goal is to help the child return to mainstream education.
Our students often have primary needs related to Autism (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), anxiety or emotionally based school avoidance, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
With a growing SEN school based in Stoke-on-Trent, Emerge is an established provider of SEN education with a Good/ Outstanding OFSTED judgement (June 2023). We understand that every child’s learning journey is unique.
Our online school provides a flexible, personalised curriculum with therapeutic support to help students rebuild confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Our skilled tutors and clinicians work closely together to nurture academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal growth in every student.
Each student receives a school laptop preloaded with safeguarding, access, and security software, ensuring a smooth and safe start to their online learning journey.
Our small Online classes (between one and 5 pupils) create calm, low-pressure environments where reassurance and encouragement help students feel comfortable and confident to participate.
We take time to understand every learner—their strengths, interests, and aspirations—so that teaching feels meaningful and engaging.
While some students stay with us long term, our goal is to help each child progress toward the most suitable next step, whether that’s returning to in-person education or moving on to further learning, training, or employment.
